9 Years!

Today marks Shayne and I's nine year anniversary. We started dating back on this day in grade eleven. We had been "seeing each other" for months but he finally got the nerve up to ask me on March 14th. If you want more of the story of how we came to be, I shared it back here.

On one hand, it seems like yesterday that we started dating and on the other it feels like it's been decades. We've had our ups and downs but the important part is we stuck it out and now are over half way into our first year of marriage. We're in a great place and it's really been a great experience to grow up together and watch him become the man he is today- even if that man is sometimes a bit too stubborn, haha!

For our wedding, I gathered a bunch of photos of us from over the years and thought today would be a good day to share a few of them. Not only because it's our anniversary but because I don't have any house things to share as I'm mid-project in about four things.

I don't want to get all mushy in this post- that's not who I am but I have always loved this and thought it was a perfect time to share it.
 

This quote just rings true for us. We're honest. We're real. Real life isn't a fairy tale but that doesn't mean it can't be pretty great, especially when you find someone to share it with.
